From across the nation through music, elimations and Grand Finals were held at Manolo Fortich Centennial Plaza last April 03, 2018. The winner is Jonar Rementizo whose voice is not just an ordinary but is over the rainbow.

Being a singer is natural gift. Singing is a passion, very first love and the secret of energy. Music to them is like finding their inner self and will tell you more about them than they ever will. It gives them a great joy to see audiences enjoying their performance.
They have given their heart to singing. And when they sing, they can feel romance in everything around them. It's the best feeling in the world with them. The key to long life, a good figure, a stable temperament, increased intelligence, new friends, self-confidence, heightened sexual attractiveness and a better sense of humor. And these best describes perspective of the contestants of Awit ng Tanghalan.

Awit ng Tanghalan gave a great opportunity for the singers all over the nation, coming from different places like Ormoc, Leyte, General Santos City, Lanao Del Norte, Digos City and etc. To gather and showcase their singing talent in this tremendous event.

It was not just for the benefit of the singers, but also for the people who was amazed and entertained by their melodic voices. It was indeed a fun and astonishing competition, take it from someone who knows it very well.
The singers were having fun while on stage. Living the moment and giving their 100 percent. They dance to the rhythm and let music speak for them. So the audience were able to understand their message.

And felt like they're dancing and singing too. Together with the cold breeze and good company of friends, under the starry sky, giving warm applauses to the contestants. So, the judges have had a hard time choosing the Magic 12 who will then move to the grand finals.
In this singing competition, age, looks, size and gender doesn't matter, even disability. If you have the talent then go for it. We only live once so do things that makes you happy. One of the singers from Pasil, Cebu, Ms. Ninfa Dakay who is a PWD. Proved that disability is a not hindrance and a disadvantage for her in joining this competition. She was singing with a crutch in her left arm. She truely touched our hearts and inspired us a lot. She's a role model to those people who think life can't go on with a disability. If you believe in something, you work for it and you'll achieve it.

One of the contestants said this during my interview, "For me, singing is the most natural thing in the world. I've grown up with it and I know I've got that gift". A gift they should all treasure. Singing brings music to life. It flows in your heart and enrich your soul. It's expressing the greatest communication in the world. And it brings harmony into one of us.
The event of the night summed up as winners are proclaimed having Jonar Rementizo as the grand champion with Pearly Lane Garcia as the first runner-up, Normann Bel Sarmiento as the second runner-up, Arnel Nadonza as the third runner-up, Roldan Caderao as the fourth runner-up.
Contestants left the audience in awe, wowed them until returning home. Of course, this activity wouldn’t be a reality thanks to LGU-Manolo Fortich headed by our very own Mayor Clive Quiño.
